Garage Sale, Estate Sale & Yard Sale Message Board Forum

So here are my ideas on what to add next to the site. Id love to get feedback and more ideas as well. The problem is that the rate of ideas is faster than I can keep up with! But all in due time

#1 Ability to view garage sales in list format. Once you do a search, the sales will show up under the map as a sortable list.

#2 Ability to click on a sale and add it to a route. The route is then mapped for you and you have your driivng directions for your daily rounds. Ability to print the  map will be a must.

#3 The ability to add your own addresses to your route. We know we cant get all the sales there are.

#4 Add more sales! Right now our only source is Craigslist and of course our own posting tool. There are many untapped sources in the works.

#5 We are going to be adding some fun stuff to the site like games, polls, and some contests to drum up publicity

#6 We are going to be playing with the idea of appraisals and pricing for both buyers and sellers. We have some ideas that are BIG here.

So there it is. Our short term roadmap is fairly packed. We'd love to get your opinions!

Hi,  I guess I understand you get sales from craigslist, but if thats the case then, why aren't there any sales in my area?  zip 61820 ("chambana", IL on craigslist)

That is a good question. We do search the Urbana Craigslist but if you did the search yesterday (Sunday) then chances are you just missed the rush. Many sales that are Saturday only are removed by Sunday. Try again on a Friday and you should have better luck. The other thing is we cannot always get the sales on Craigslist. This can be due to not enough information or the information was entered in a format that is not standard.
