Ping Rapture Driver
The Ping Rapture 460cc driver features a visible, web-shaped titanium crown injected with lightweight composite. By utilizing the composite in the low stress areas of the crown, Ping engineers re-positioned 20 grams of mass inside the club for higher launch and lower spin. The fully-machined variable thickness face increases ball speed for a hotter club face response. A complex manufacturing process, wherein the composite material is inserted into the web-shape crown using a bladder mould, creates the unique, eye-catching crown design. The bladder enters the Ping Rapture club head through the skirt, which is also filled with composite, and is moulded into position to ensure a strong, durable bond to the titanium head.
Ping Rapture Hybrid
The Ping Rapture Hybrid is a little confusing. The head size fom front to back is halfway between what is generally considered a hybrid and a fairway wood, not this this is a bad thing. It does provide for a very forgiving club that does what it says on the tin and flies high and lands soft. The face is forgiving and it is very easy to hit. However it is more for the fairway and tee then bad lies in the semi and rough, which is where we expect utilities to be. As it launches higher, the lofts appear stronger than usual for these clubs, so make sure you hit them first to get the right loft and flight for you.
Ping Rapture Fairway Wood
The Ping Rapture fairway woods are manufactured from 100% titanium and the large-headed woods offer exceptional forgiveness. A 6-4 titanium face is machined to produce a thin, highly-responsive face for maximum distance. An internal weight pad positioned directly below the centre of gravity increases the launch angle and reduces spin to produce high, penetrating shot characteristics. The Ping Rapture fairway woods fully-machined face is robotically plasma-welded to the body for consistency and durability. The precision welds allow additional weight savings that are re-distributed throughout the club head for maximum performance.
